EMR Village Articles

by Tripp Bradd, MD

I have been messing around with computers since 1971 but didn't get involved with personal computers much until 1985 with my first Apple IIe. We've all come a long way since then. In 1998, we started our first listserv for the end-user community. In 2010, the McKesson Online community was taken to the next level with the EMR Village. There were a lot of innovations in between which we created (including the forum). Without all the work of all the community, we wouldn't be where we are today. I am humbled by the creative spirit and abilities, both individually and collectively, of the EMR villagers.

This part of the Village is my attempt to share some useful information with you. My hope is that you will, by reading these articles, be able to avoid the hazards just beneath the surface and navigate safely through health IT. Compared to some of you, I am but a 'grasshoppa'. I hope you enjoy these articles.
