I just finished a meeting with Taylor Davis, EVP, Business Development and Innovation at KLAS Enterprises.
You know them as the folks who do KLAS Research.
I don’t know about you, but, I have, in the past, been disappointed with some of the survey results they’ve reported regarding a venerated and good EMR known as Practice Partner. I’ve always felt that PP was under-represented in these surveys.
Taylor was happy to have US participate in the EMR Improvement Collaborative. (see the attached flier). US = the EMR Villagers!
Of the 16 or so participants, most of them large health care systems, we are the only end-user group!
He was fascinated with the concept of the EMR Village and end-user community culture.
(No surprise there as I am sure most of the time they deal with CEO’s, CMO’s, CIO’s and CMIO’s!)
You may ask, “What is in it for us?”
By the fall, with some input from those participants, there will be a survey developed.
Our survey will be designed to answer more specific questions around the outpatient EMR.
For our participation, we will get the survey results. We’ll get a pulse on ourselves! When it does come out, MAKE SURE AS MANY PEOPLE IN YOUR ORGANIZATION take the survey! It’s all about the “N”!
For eMD’s, what could be better than being named in a national survey PLUS seeing what the end-users think!
So this is a ‘heads-up’ … please participate with the survey when it is available.
“You must be the change you wish to see in the world”*
P.S. - A call out and thanks to Mike Jones for suggesting we participate.
